our Story

Surrounded by the Lowcountry's calming waterways and breathtaking wildlife, I feel at peace. As an empty nester, I decided to fulfill my dream of opening a unique coastal home goods & nautical gift shop. Port & Stern is a way for me to share my love of this magical place with the rest of the country. Our products are carefully curated to bring the essence of the coast into your home, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere for you, your friends and loved ones. We carry a combination of quality retail products, local art, antiques and salvaged nautical treasures. I hope that each of you leave with a little piece of the lowcountry to cherish forever.

FEATURED ARTIST RACHEL MIGLIORINO

Rachel Migliorino is a professional artist based in Beaufort, SC, where she creates acrylic and oil paintings inspired by the beauty of the Lowcountry. Her work captures the essence of coastal landscapes, wildlife and serene nature scenes, bringing a sense of peace and connection to her collectors. Originally from Long Island, NY, Rachel's lifelong love for art led her to earn a degree in Fine Arts before an unexpected creative detour into cake artistry. For over a decade, she ran a successful custom cake business, blending her artistic talents with edible design.

Despite her success in the culinary arts, her passion for painting never faded. After moving to Beaufort, the stunning coastal environment reignited her love for fine art, and now she dedicates her time fully to painting. Her work is displayed in her studio at Atelier in downtown Beaufort, SC and at the Beaufort Art Association Gallery.
